Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) is a security technology that helps protect Windows users from spyware and other potentially unwanted software. Known spyware on your PC can be detected and removed. This helps reduce negative effects caused by spyware including slow PC performance, annoying pop-up ads, unwanted changes to Internet settings, and unauthorized use of your private information. Continuous protection improves Internet browsing safety by guarding over fifty (50) ways spyware can enter your PC. Participants in the worldwide SpyNet™ community play a key role in determining which suspicious programs are classified as spyware. Microsoft researchers quickly develop methods to counteract these threats, and updates are automatically downloaded to your PC so you stay up to date.

Randal's Input:

This AnitSpyware Program is better than any I've ever come across. Even better than Spybot. Like Spybot it has a active Scanner on all the time that looks for any spyware activity coming in or out of your computer. It does a deep analysis of your hard drive to find files, processes, registry keys, and memory. That may be infected with the known database of Spyware. This program is especially good because if you know or not. Microsot themself put spyware on your computer. This spyware is not for harm. It is for observation to better Microsoft products, and for as well, to protect the microsoft brand from violation of copyright laws. This spyware is embedded into the Registry and system files. So, removing them could cause problems. Non-Microsoft Scanners, will sometimes get rid of the embedded spyware causing system problems, but They do not include their own into the database. Leaving your computer tottally free of wrong deletion. This product only works with NT Systems, so if you're on a Dos system. Sorry, I guess you'll have to stick to your current scanner.
